Hi there!
Nice to meet you.
This is my story.

Gamer. Weeb. Nerd. Dork. Geek. Trash. This is me. Yes, even the trash part. (I proudly identify as weeb trash). This is just who I am. Oh, and I also deal with mental health problems.

Hi, I'm Ryan. As a child, I wanted to be a doctor (no surprise there) so I could help people. However, while growing up, I realized that medicine doesn't cure everything. When we talk about mental health issues, especially in today's world where it is so predominant that almost everyone deals with some form of depression and anxiety, there's no one solution. The way I see it, mental health is strongly based from a culmination of your experiences, trauma, childhood and surroundings. It's not like a cold where you just catch it one day and then drink orange juice and chicken noodle soup for a week until you're back in tip-top shape. It's years in the making and that's not something we can change overnight.

I came to the conclusion that what I wanted to do in life, was to inspire. If my experiences, mindset and words can help others get through tough times or change their perspective, that's enough for me.

I'm not clinically diagnosed with any mental illnesses… but I do at times deal with poor mental health in various forms of depression, anxiety, low self-esteem, self-deprecation, and more. The list goes on.

Anime healed me from heartbreak, inspires me to work harder and taught me the importance of friendship. Gaming whisks me away to another world, reduces my anxiety and allows me to feel at peace. I'm here to talk about the “life lessons” we can learn from animes and video games and how they can help change our perspective and mindset. If you deal with mental health issues, you know that the mind is your worst enemy. I can turn a “lol.” text into an anxiety attack if I'm not in the best mindset.

Join me in this quest to be the best version of you there can be. We'll pick up healing potions, swords, comrades and learn some magic along the way. Cheers to the start of a great adventure!
